This past week I was at training camp in Gainesville GA in preparation for the World Race. I faced numerous attacks from the enemy leading up to training and I now see why. The enemy was afraid of what Holy Spirit had in store for me. He was afraid of me walking in the truth that is, "I am a child of God."

October 9, 2020 Day 1:
My brother and sister in love drove me down to training and you could imagine the car ride. Full of laughter, scream singing classics, prayer, and tears. As we pulled up on campus, I saw people standing at the entrance cheering for each racer that arrived. As tears formed, I was so overwhelmed by the excitement for what was in store for the following 7 days.
This was the first glimpse of heaven.
Later into the evening, as we were all (mostly) meeting for the first time in person, the unity our squad already had was shocking. I went into this thinking that there is no way clicks wouldn’t be formed, and shoulders would be turned when I sat down with people I didn’t know. The Lord proved me dead wrong.  He was already speaking past the fear and insecurities I brought with me. The Lord was slowly starting to take down my walls one brick at a time. As it poured down rain through the night, frustration was thrown out the window and I just sat still in my tent listening to it rain. I got roughly two hours of sleep that night, but all I could do was say "thank you." Spending the night in prayer, and drawing near to Jesus was so special and something I will never forget. Little did I know He had more for us in the days to come.
